Portrait Series – Imagining Harry Hunter.
Harry Hunter was an English shipwright who settled in Bulgin Creek, Bardi Country NW Kimberley. Accounts of Hunter are varied, yet amongst his many claims to fame Hunter was said to have been a buccaneer, a milliner, a blackbirder and to have had many local wives, children and grandchildren. This series of work depicts the man himself, his many wives and offspring two to three generations later
